Work with Dex
What is Dex?
Dex is an audit file, generated by the machine, that saves the audit information (sales, product stock levels, machine events). Using NayaxVend (DCS) you can parse (read) it.
Note: All Dex files come from MDB machines but notice that not all MDB machines use Dex.
To be able to read Dex from the machine, make sure that the Dex cable is properly connected to the machine.
The dex file is generated completely once with all counters - either after a special event on the machine occurred or when a user requested a full read from NayaxVend (DCS). Next time a dex read will be triggered, the unit will send to the server only the counters that have changed since the last read. The server compares the new data with existing data and generates a new file.
